03 Apr BEHIND EVERY PERFECT ROOM THERE IS A SILENT DIRECTOR… ME!
Every morning, when I put on my uniform and prepare the trolley, I know that I am not just carrying out a task: I am helping to create an experience. Every room I clean will, in a few hours, be the refuge of a guest who perhaps arrives tired after a long journey, who has decided to take a break from work or who is celebrating a special moment. My job is to make him feel welcome, safe, at ease. And to do that, every detail counts.

I enter the room and start with what for me is the heart of the hospitality: the bed. I carefully remove the used linen, inspect the mattress, arrange the new sheets with almost maniacal care. They must be taut, smooth, without a wrinkle. Every corner neatly folded, every pillow soft and precisely positioned. I know that the first thing the guest will do is to look right there, and he must find a bed that invites rest, that conveys cleanliness and serenity.
I then move on to the bathroom. This is the most delicate area, the one where there is no margin for error. To guarantee maximum hygiene, I use only colour-coded equipment and microfibre cloths, so as to differentiate their use in the various areas (bathroom, bedroom, surfaces), avoiding any possible cross-contamination. I clean the sanitary facilities with specific products, paying attention to each surface: the rim of the toilet, the tap, the soap dish. I polish the sink, checking for residue, halos or traces. The mirror must be perfect, without shadows or fingerprints. I fold the towels with precision and check that they are soft and fragrant, neatly arranged. Finally, I always make sure that the soap and shower gel dispensers are filled correctly, because even these small actions contribute to the comfort of the guest.
I then take care of the surfaces: the bedside table, the desk top, the handles, the remote control – objects that the guest will touch almost without thinking. I sanitise them carefully, without ignoring the most hidden corners. I vacuum the carpet or check the floor, making sure there are no crumbs, dust or marks.
Finally, before leaving the room, I stop for a moment at the threshold. I look at everything with the eyes of the guest. I ask myself: ‘Would I feel welcome in here? Is there anything I can improve?’ It is a personal check, a gesture that helps me never to take anything for granted. And before closing the door, with a final touch, I spray the room with a light mist of Nefel‘s Acquazero, to give the guest a delicate aromatherapeutic experience from the first breath.
A clean and well-maintained room is more than a physical space: it is a silent message to the guest ‘we take care of you’. Those who work as I do in professional cleaning know that today, more than ever, hygiene is a central element in the perception of quality. It is not just a question of aesthetics, but a real demand for well-being on the part of guests. A clean room is the first step to feeling truly welcome!
But to offer all this, you need a well-trained team, clear protocols and, above all, products and tools that are up to the job. In a fast-changing industry, it is essential to be able to count on reliable and specialised suppliers. This is why we at E.S.PRO. collaborate with companies such as INTERCHEM ITALIA – an Italian manufacturer of professional detergents and cosmetics for the hospitality industry – and TWT TROLLEYS AND TOOLS, which develops trolleys and tools designed to make cleaning protocols more efficient and reduce physical fatigue for the operator. A cleaning professional doesn’t just clean, he advises, updates, proposes solutions. We help hotels respond to new needs: guests who are more attentive, more informed, who want to have an immersive experience and feel safe, even in terms of hygiene.
Behind every room that smells clean, there is our commitment.
Behind every positive review, there is our silent but fundamental work.
To know that, thanks to what we do, someone will finally be able to relax and feel good, gives a deep meaning to everything we do.
